MGM Muthoot Medical Centre, School of Nursing was established in the year 1994 as a part and parcel of the parent hospital – Muthoot Medical Centre a multi specialty Health care Delivery Hospital founded in 1983, a 300 bedded Hospital with a ‘Credo of Pursuit of Excellence’ as its motto delivers the latest state of the art professional care coupled with efficient & empathetic care.

         It is an actualization of the realization perceived by sensing the need of the hour to train out competent nurses to establish the SON which is a venture to fulfill the dream of our visionaries.

         Hence it is also equipped with the latest state of the art equipments & manned by well trained medical personnels.

         Our School which is started in 1994 has got both Kerala Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council recognition as a testimony of acknowledgement we have received the accredition by INC Certificate No. 18 – 1037 / 2000 & hence to entitle their diploma as Registered Nurse & Midwife. It is located in a fascinating locality at the heart of Kozhencherry where all near by facilities are available. The access to Pvt. & KSRTC bus stand is at walkable distance. The environment is purely calm & serene for the student to learn and make everything Conclusive.

         Firstly School was in the hospital Campus in the AG Block and it was shifted to the new Campus very near to the parent hospital which was inaugurated on 24.11.1999. Our philosophy is to prepare the students to provide the best Nursing Care to the residents of Kozhencherry where Muthoot group was born in i.e. . to form a balanced approach to organize Nursing Education & its philosophy serves as a means of communication among Nursing Students, Nursing Educators & other personnel’s in the community as a whole & hence they will shine in the world with leadership qualities in Nursing Education & Administration.

         School is situated in a spacious Campus which started with an annual intake of 20 students per batch & since 2002 onwards the annual intake raised to 50 per batch every year and when the new syllabus of 3 ½ year Course of 3 years Course started in 2005 – 2 batches were admitted in that year of 50 students (i.e. 100 students for the year 2005). Now 17th batch GNM is undergoing their training.

         School has got the entire infrastructure as per the regulations of KNC & INC with 50 students per year. Faculty include Principal, Vice – Principal, Sr. Tutors & Clinical Instructors. Also it has well equipped labs ; Spacious updated library, computer lab e.t.c Hostel facilities also are provided with good accommodation. Mess is run by Contractors. Guidance and Counseling also provided in the School.

         At present 187 students are undergoing their training as 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year & Internship students and are well disciplined too.

         Our graduated students are now working as Staff Nurses in all over the world like USA, UK, Australia, Canada, UAE, Saudi e.t.c.

         Many GNMs joined & completed their Post basic BSc. Nursing Course & new still few are under training for Post Basic BSc. Nursing Programme.
